Puffy, according to the dictionary, means puffy, puffy, baggy, etc. The logo shows a cloud in the text. So before we get into the details, expect a slightly softer, more inviting, sunken feel. It is a comfortable bed that feels like a memory foam mattress and is recommended for side sleepers for its comfort to relieve pressure. It is designed to work on any surface or platform.

The puffed mattresses are 100% Made in the USA and are also for sale in Canada.

Puffy has three options: Puffy Original Mattress, Puffy Lux Hybrid Mattress, and Puffy Royal Hybrid Mattress. In 2021, based on customer feedback, Puffy decided to renew the entire mattress line. Released on September 14, 2019, Puffy Royal is now Puffy Royal Hybrid and the most popular Puffy Lux is now Puffy Lux Hybrid.

Puffy Original Mattress is currently the only full foam mattress in the line. It is a 10 inch five layer memory foam mattress and is a product made in the USA.

Structure & Quality

An inflated mattress consists of three layers of foam sandwiched in a hypoallergenic themed cover and a grippy bottom cover. This ensures a comfortable 5-layer mattress.

Comfort Layer:

The top layer is a 2-inch gel memory foam layer called Cloud™ Cooling Foam. The main job of the cape is to provide comfort and regulate the temperature while you sleep. He did pretty well.

But in our previous customer reviews, some of them complained about overheating. There were reports of ‘heat’ at night. Our analysis suggests that it guarantees a neutral temperature zone for most people. But the person who is sensitive or who has had problems with the “heat” of a mattress in the past should keep this in mind when buying it.

Middle Layer:The next layer is the 2-inch Climate™ Comfort layer. The primary responsibility of this transition layer is to control temperature fluctuations and relieve pain. This allows you to stabilize your temperature by cooling down when it’s hot and staying warm when it’s cold. The adjustment also takes seasonal contraction and expansion into account. This gives you a consistent experience all year round.

Core Base Layer: The Puffy mattress is built on a 6-inch, high-density core layer of compliant foam. The top two layers give the mattress a soft, cloud-like feel and this base layer provides firmness. Supports the back with the correct alignment of the spine and the contours of the body. All layers of the Puffy mattress are certified by CertiPUR-US. Frees the mattress from toxins and chemicals.

What is Unique About the Cover of Puffy’s Mattress?

The inflated mattress has a removable cover that is resistant to stains. The puff mattress is a bed in a box mattress with a washable cover. If you spill something or drop food, you can clean it up immediately and without much effort. No stains of any kind. All covers are Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified.

Overall Feel & Firmness Level

All Puffy mattresses were refreshed in 2019 and they even launched a new high-end Puffy Royal mattress. The line-up was renewed again in 2021. Therefore, previous reviews regarding Puffy may no longer be entirely accurate. As the construction and materials used have changed, the sturdiness and overall feel have been updated and improved.

The cooling Cloud™ Foam layer is a gel memory foam followed by the Cloud™ Comfort layer. In our review, the experience is better than a normal gel memory foam. It’s more inclusive and feels smooth overall. You get a soft “in a nest” feeling. There’s a sinking and cuddly feel, but there’s excellent support from the base core layer. Provides good lumbar and back support.

So it should be reasonably comfortable and comfortable for most sleeping positions, including stomach sleepers, back sleepers, side sleepers, and combination sleepers.

Motion Transfer

The mattress is good at absorbing any movement transfer. It’s one of the highlights, so good news for your sleeping partner. You can toss and turn freely at night without the stress of disrupting your partner’s sleep.

Spine Alignment and Sleeping Positions

Side Sleepers

Sleeping on your side is probably one of the most difficult sleeping positions to keep your spine aligned. There is constant pressure on the shoulders and waist. Provides great support to the shoulders and hips to keep pain at bay. Puffy is a great option for light side sleepers who weigh less than 230 pounds. If you sleep on your side, you will probably appreciate a slightly firmer mattress.

It is arguably one of the best mattresses for side sleepers.

Back Sleepers

Most back sleepers who wake up with low back pain do not sleep in a supportive bed. The Puffy performed moderately for heavy back sleepers, which may contribute to the soft top layers. Although back sleepers who weigh less than 240 pounds will find plenty of lumbar support.

Stomach Sleepers

Inflated with its foam construction, it was the weakest for stomach sleepers. Being a foam mattress, the body tends to sink around the stomach, making it difficult to align the spine. Light sleepers may find the level of firmness for support, but the user who weighs over 150 pounds can look elsewhere.

Combination sleepers can experience a level of comfort sleeping on it without waking up tired or sore.

Heavy Sleepers

The bed may not provide adequate support for heavier people over 240 pounds. Sinking the body in bed can cause long-term problems. We recommend checking out our list of the best mattresses for heavy people.

Couples

It is a good option for couples with a few key features that apply to them. Motion isolation is good, so combination sleepers can easily turn around without fear of disturbing their partner. The mattress is quiet, which makes it a great bed for sex. The couple who prefers a sensitive mattress may feel inadequate in that regard.
